HOW DO I CONTRIBUTE TO LAB651’s SUCCESS?

GOOD NEWS!

You are no longer required to enter 40 hrs/week in Harvest

We will not pull PTO from weeks less than 40 hrs entered - Bug you LESS!

Harvest will be simplified for non-billable hours to 5 Categories:

  1. Billable Project Time - same as now
  2. PTO
  3. Holidays
  4. Career Development
  5. Admin Time - your Level 10s and non-billable meetings

Just bill 84% (averaged over the calendar full year) of your time and Keep your Client Happy!

BACKGROUND - The Math

2080 hours/year

- 21 Days of PTO (168 Hours)

- 9 Holidays (72 Hours) - Dates determined by Lab651

- 56 Hours Admin Time (Weekly and Quarterly L10’s)

- 40 Hours of Career Development

= 1744 Billable Hours/Year OUR GOAL over 52 weeks

84% Billable Time Recorded in Harvest

NOTES

  • The list above is based on 2080 hours per year worked (40 hours per week).  If your average work-week is less than 40 hours, then the hours for the items in the list will also be reduced.  However, 1744 billable hours is the goal, regardless of the length of your work-week.
  • PTO and Career Development hours are “accrued” over the course of the year and are not given at the beginning of the year.  However, Lab651 allows you to go into “arrears”, understanding that at the end of the year the numbers will match.

  • Use these weekly numbers in your Engineering L10
  • NOTE - based on PTO, Holidays etc, you weekly numbers will vary
  • Keep your eye on the quarterly total to have a better indication where you will be for the quarter!
