Permissions
Section titled “Permissions”- Take care when creating folders and files to set the sharing permissions at creation time.
- Check the permissions of moved or “Make a copy” files to ensure they are what is intended.
Working Style
Section titled “Working Style”- When possible, work on Google Drive in real time.
- Some documents need to be downloaded and worked on in Word to retain formatting. (List of affected document types TBD.)
- Working in local copies is discouraged as it is easy to forget to upload them.
- Always consider continuity: make sure files are accessible to other team members in case of absence.
