Equipment Stipend

THE PROGRAM

Lab651 allows reimbursement of up to $500/year for approved equipment.  This Stipend begins January 1st 2023 and applies only to equipment acquired after January 1st, 2023.  

HOW IT WORKS

  1.  Purchase allowed equipment
  2.  Prepare and submit an expense reimbursement sheet for the expense (Receipt required) - if the item cost exceeds $500.00, only $500 will be reimbursed.  Enter a maximum of $500.00 on the expense reimbursement form.
  3.  You will receive your payment in the same manner as you receive your paycheck (direct deposit usually).
  4. Lab651 will allow new laptops only to be submitted over multiple years. For Example:
    • You purchase a laptop in January of 2023 for $1,500.00.
    • Submit your laptop in 2023 and receive $500.00
    • Submit the same laptop in 2024 and receive $500.00
    • Submit the same laptop in 2025 and receive $500.00

FAQ

  1. Can I submit for equipment purchased prior to January 1st, 2023?  No, the program begins in January 2023 and covers only equipment purchased starting January 1st, 2023.
  2. Can I submit items that cost more than $500.00 multiple times?  Only new laptops may be resubmitted over multiple years for reimbursement.
  3. What if the items I submit costs more than $500.00? Only $500.00 will be reimbursed.
  4. How do I see how much is left of my $500.00 for the year? Make a spreadsheet and track your reimbursement expenses.
  5. Will this balance carry over? No, but it renews yearly.
